"How To Make Your Pictures Not Suck" or "Learning The Elements Of Artful Styling" | Jennifer Hulley Food Photographer, Hamilton / Toronto Ontario

Hey you!

Yeah you!

YOU: All you small business owners, you food industry professionals, you bloggers, photographers, students, and even you random internet lurkers. Guess what?  Styling doesn't have to be hard and your photos can look incredible!

I am continually asked by clients, colleagues and people I come in contact with about ways in which they can improve their photos, be it be for personal or professional reasons. I often hear stories of frustration, exasperation and then dramatic statements of defeat such as "I just can't take a nice photo" or "I don't see things right way, I don't know what looks good and what doesn't"

Well guess what? Yes YOU do. You do see the world, you see it in your own unique way and you can learn to how to notice the way you "see" and begin to curate inspiration and ideas which will then help you create your own images.

Well that sounds promising! Exciting even, right? But so what? What does that mean for you? Well, there's a new side venture to my photographic work, a form of creative coaching called Artfully Styled U. Think of it like a smash up between like Jillian Michaels meets Dr Fraser Crane meets Judge Judy. Something and someone to motivate you, to guide you, to push you forward, to listen to your struggles, your successes, your questions and then to give you 100% no bs feedback and support.

Artfully Styled U has many access points depending on who you are and what your goals are including: youtube videos (free!) social media communities and challenges (hop over to Instagram and check it out), public speaking engagements (coming to the HPL in 2017) as well as personalized and intensive workshops & 1:1 coaching sessions. And you know what's even more exciting?  The fact that you aren't going to be doing it alone. There's a whole bunch of people just like you that want to, that need to learn this. You can do this, trust me!

So come on, take a step and join us. I'd love to see you here on the blog as well as on YouTube & Instagram. Keep and eye out here and there for more information and specific themes, and maybe I will see you in person one day at an upcoming workshop!

So, whats's our starting point?  There's so much to learn and so many fundamentals taht need to come together. To start, we have a choice:
