Jenn Hulley: [00:00:00] Welcome back to the podcast. I'm Jen Hulley. And this week we are talking about whether or not you're manifesting disappointment. We're gonna talk about why your manifestations aren't coming in and exactly what you need to do about it. And, you know, I like to start every episode with a card poll. And this week we're using.
The Modern Witch deck, which is one of my favorites. Um, and it's one of the ones I was, uh, using when I was learning because the artwork on this deck is pretty consistent with traditional tarot, but there's some, like it says Modern Witch, right? So there's some modernizations with it, but it, um, so it's a great deck to learn with if you're interested in that.
We're going to talk about manifesting, right? And we're going to start with the cards. And I'm going to take a step back here for a second from the mic in order to do this, because we're going to do [00:01:00] this live this week. Usually I pull the cards beforehand, uh, but we're doing things a bit differently.

All right, let's get a shuffle in here and, uh, let's get a card, a card that can kind of deepen our.
conversation this week and just sort of set a framework or an intention for us. As we talk about manifestation. Ooh, the nine of wands. Okay. Don't give up. Don't give up this card right here. Okay. I'm going to hold it up. This card right here. This is the don't quit the second before the miracle happens card.
Like absolutely don't quit before the miracle happens. And when the nine of wands pops up, you're usually like, ready to pack it in. Like you're exhausted and you're like, F this. I am, I just, I can't do this anymore. Woo. She went flying. One sec. She's like, I can't do this anymore. She's like, I've [00:02:00] done so much work and I'm working and nothing is happening.
Like the end does not seem like it's in sight. And since we're talking about manifesting this week, it's a perfect card because manifesting isn't always. It's fast. Okay. It's not like I think something and then it's there. I mean, sometimes that does happen and we will talk about this, this episode, but for the most part, it takes a while for the things that you set intentions for and get in alignment with.
It takes a while for them to like reach us into the 3d, right. Um, and it can kind of suck when you're in your like little human ness and you're like, I want it. I feel aligned with it. I'm doing all the things I can visualize it. I feel like it's mine where the F is it. And that's usually when we pack it in.
Cause we're like, Oh, it's not meant for me off. You know, off it goes from our vision board. Are we like, just forget about it. And this card is just saying, don't give in. Don't pack it in. Don't give up. Keep going. Usually I will say when you're at the point where you're like, I [00:03:00] can't do this anymore. I'm done.
You're usually like, Right there. Most people. I was talking with a friend last night. We were talking about entrepreneurship. Okay, because entrepreneurship is not for everybody, but we were saying most people give up too quickly. So if you're feeling that message and you're like, yeah, I give up too quickly.
Keep that in your head. mental desktop as we talk about manifesting this week. Now I, let's like full disclosure, I have a bad habit of manifesting disappointment. Okay. And what I mean when I say that is that either my manifestations never show up, we'll talk about that, or they feel like they're taking forever and I get really disappointed.
And then that pulls my vibration down. It pulls my energy down, which has a whole knock on effect, or I manifest something. And you get that like temporary high. And then all of a sudden it's like, Like, why? Why did I want this? Or like, I didn't, is this what this is? [00:04:00] Is this all it is? You know? Um, and it's, I've been getting a bit of a bitch slap from the universe recently, if I'm being fully honest.
It's been coming up in tarot card readings. It's been coming up when I'm meditating. It's been coming up when I'm doing, um, automatic writing and channeled messages, the same thing. I'm just downloading a lot of information recently about the manifestation process and what needs to happen like internally on a mental level, but also emotional level.
And, um, what we need to do to make like little micro alignments. So that things start flowing again. And so that's what the purpose of this episode is, is it's going to be two parts, and we're going to talk about how to realign your manifestations, because if things aren't coming in or they are coming in, but they're falling flat, it means there's a misalignment.
It means like whatever you're manifesting and like what will actually fill your soul, it's not quite. Like the money shot it's like off and the bigger that gap gets right the bigger this gap gets the [00:05:00] bigger The or the more intense the feeling of disappointment becomes and so let's talk about this.
Alright, so yes two part series today We're gonna talk all about how to get really really clear, really clear and really aligned with what you actually want to manifest. Because if you're not in alignment, like if you're shooting for something down this road, but actually your soul wants to be on this road, it's not going to be pleasant.
Okay. It's not going to be enjoyable, but also the results are going to leave you just feeling like, Nobody wants that, right? Like nobody wants to be on the struggle bus. So we're going to talk about stripping down the layers of all the gunk and sludge and things that we learn through conditioning, limiting beliefs, fear, scarcity, all of that.
We're going to learn to take it away and get down to the raw intention of who you are and what it is that you actually want to happen in your life. Okay. And so now this is a great time to remind you that if you are manifesting misalignment, [00:06:00] like you find that. Things aren't coming in or the stuff that's coming in is really unfulfilling and you feel like you're spilling, spinning your wheels.
It's because you're not manifesting what you actually want. And you're probably manifesting for like. your third grade teacher or your partner or your boss, or just what society thinks or tells you that you should want. And when we're manifesting from that sense of false self, and when I say false self, there is a previous episode, not on YouTube, but on the podcast where you can listen about what happens when you have like a false self, a ghost self, and an aligned self.
But when we're in the false self, meaning like we have this fabrication of who we are, and it's not actually in alignment, it's not true to what we are on a soul level, we start manifesting for that false self. And then like our core self is like, like, come on, like, we feel like crap. So if you're in manifesting misalignment, You're connected to that false self.
It's not like the end of the world. We can totally disconnect that, but coming home, [00:07:00] which is my signature package. It's a package of intuitive insights and alignment and self empowerment. It helps you to remove all your limiting beliefs. We're going to look at where you've learned states of disempowerment, where you have learned, like it has to be this and this and this, and we.
Get to the core of what your false beliefs are about for yourself, like your expectations for self and even just for life in general, and we work through that so you get this intuitive reading at the beginning, which is 90 minutes. It's a deep dive. Then we build you a coming home framework because we want you to come home to yourself.
When you've come home to yourself and you're connected with that like little inner fire that is the center of your universe, then you can start pulling in things. So we do the reading, we come up with this protocol for you with the four pillars, which is healing, Opening meeting and expanding, and then you go off and you put stuff into practice and you come back for an integration session six weeks later.
It's a phenomenal package. I truly, truly believe in it because I work through that [00:08:00] process myself, but it's the process I put all my clients through. I'm going to walk you through an intuitive journaling exercise that I downloaded like in my brain and put myself through to realign my manifestations and realign my actions so that I was like on the right path.
And like, side note, this is why we're on YouTube this week was because this [00:09:00] process. Made me realize like, holy shit, like what am I doing? I was like, I'm, I'm wanting these things and I'm over here. So it's such an important, important exercise to go through. And I want you to like save it and experience it when you have the time to do it because you have to give it.
The energy and the dedication that it deserves, right? It's not a lot. You just like, if you could carve out 45 minutes, one evening, have a glass of wine, make some tea, light a candle, like make it a whole thing. I guarantee you by the end of this process, you will at least have like remove the blinders and you'll be like, Oh, okay.
Here's where the gap is. And once we figure out where that gap is, then we start to build bridges. The problem is humans. We like to build bridges before we know where the gaps are. We're like those little, do you remember that game, The Lemmings? Where they were just like, There was like Christmas Lemmings.
I had it on my computer, like in the nineties and they would just go and they'd build ladders and they'd build bridges and they'd do stuff, but they, it was a hot mess and [00:10:00] we're like that. We like to get busy and do things and build the bridges, but we don't always know the two points that we're bridging.
And so we start bridging bridges to nowhere or bridges to the wrong space. And that's where the sense of like discontent, apathy. You know even like low self esteem and self worth because like you're exhausting yourself doing all the things but you still feel like garbage you still feel unfulfilled and you start asking yourself like what's wrong with me nothing nothing you just need to sort of like take a step back look at what's going on.
And be really intentional with your efforts. And the thing with being intentional, it's going to save you time and it's going to save you energy. And let's be honest, time is a limited resource. Okay. Time is a limited resource and we are all exhausted. So if you can do anything that helps make your actions more intentional and more purposeful, you're going to be in such a better place because you're just going to feel better from like an energetic [00:11:00] space.
And I don't mean like. mystical energy. I mean like physical energy as well. Like we're so burnt out and tired. And so much of it I think is from like furiously getting on a hamster wheel and like go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go. And not thinking about like, am I actually on the right hamster wheel? Am I even a hamster?
You know what I mean? Like, We have to take a step back, zoom out and like get into full alignment and make sure we're doing the things that are right for us. So this came, that was a long intro, but we're going to get into it. This came to me during a channeled message. And channeling is something that I'm just exploring and trying to figure out.
Have sort of tapped into and realized that like messages are coming faster than I can write them down or type them out. And I'm not sure where they're coming from, but there's such wisdom in what is sort of being poured in through my head. And this message came in about manifesting. And it basically told me very nicely, but it was like a little bit of a, like, you're doing it all wrong.[00:12:00]
It was like, you are doing it all wrong. And I was like, okay, whatever. And I sat down and I was like, well, damn. Cause when something comes through twice. You're like, okay, I can't really ignore that. And then when it comes through a third time, you're like, okay, I really, really need to start listening. But what I was shown and what was explained to me, and I'll, I'm going to translate it into like typical day to day language.
And sometimes it comes in and it's very abstract and uses words that I have to like look up. And I'm like, that's not a word, but then it is a word. And, um, we're just going to talk about it like real talk today, but the message that keeps coming through to me consistently is that manifesting must come from raw intention, raw, raw, almost like primal intention, way down deep.
It can't come from facts, it can't come from logic, it can't come from like what's already established and what's already out there in the 3D, what we see our neighbor [00:13:00] doing, our friend doing, it has to come from the inside and the image that I was shown and then popped up in my tarot reading was this comparison between between The Queen of Swords and the Queen of Wands.
Okay? Queens, very powerful energy, right? But the Queen of Swords is all about thoughts, logic, seeing the connections between what exists already. It's very, not detached, but almost detached. It's just very like procedural. It's very, um, not unbiased. What's the word I'm looking for? It's just very like, it is what it is.
Okay? That's what I'll say. It is what it is. It's this and this and this. And I see this and that's that. And that's how it works. It's very matter of fact, there's not a lot of room for nuance. There's not a lot of room for like imagination and creativity. It's like, this is what we do. And if we're manifesting.
From that space, we are not [00:14:00] tapping in to the raw intention of our desire, but also the magic that manifesting actually is part of like manifesting is yes, it's partly cerebral. It is about like setting goals and making sure your actions are aligned, but there's this whole other part that we can't explain and we don't know how it works and it's just magic and that's okay.
Right. Let's look at the queen of, uh, wands, right? We've got the queen of swords, all that logic and stuff. The queen of wands. It's like the complete opposite, it's creativity, it's raw power, it's fire, right? It's sort of like, not chaotic, but it's like, I'm going to act first, think later. Like it's the complete polar opposite.
And if we, if we stay in that queen of swords space, okay, we're manifesting off what has already been seen, what we already know to be true. And what we believe. Is gonna work out because 2 plus 2 equals 4. Okay, that's fine. That's also [00:15:00] really playing it safe, right? It's playing it safe. And when we get into that habit of playing it safe, we play it small.
We engage in limiting beliefs. We over rely on what our current reality is versus what our desired reality is. It manifests off what we already know. And I guarantee you what you're trying to manifest is not your current reality. Because if it was, you wouldn't be trying to manifest it. So if we stay in the queen of swords lane when we're manifesting, we're kind of staying in the area of sameness and we need to get into that queen of wands energy.
Because when we set. Safe logical goals. Okay. Safe logical goals. Yes. Like two plus two is four. I know that I can get it. Absolutely. Um, you're going to achieve them. Most likely you're going to achieve them, but you're going to be left asking, is this it? This is all like, this is why, why does this not feel the way I thought it was going to be?
Right. [00:16:00] Why am I, why am I so unhappy? Is it impossible for me to be satisfied or fulfilled? And this is what I hear from clients all the time. And I get into this myself too, where I'm like, what's wrong with me? Why can't I just be satisfied with what is? And it's because what is and what you have brought in is not where you actually desire to be.
Okay. This really kicks off an existential crisis like big time. Okay, because we start questioning our lack of ability to be happy. We start questioning whether there's something wrong with us. Like are we, words come up, shadowy words like greedy or needy, and there's just self blame and shame that gets all wrapped up in this.
And that real magic, like I said, magic, manifesting is magic. That real magic happens when we let ourself tap into that queen of wands energy, that kind of like fiery, scary, like, oh, I don't know what's going to happen. Yeah. But it's really magnetic and it's really powerful and it's kind of exciting that [00:17:00] queen of wands energy is connected to what we really really want it's connected to like a true authentic raw desire that raw intention that fire energy and it's that you know we need that fire energy when we're talking about.
Growth and expansion and desire and intent. It comes from that space. It's like, imagine you had a magic wand. If you had a magic wand, you're like, poof, poof, poof. Would you be sitting there and be like, Hmm. What do I know to already be true? And what does my neighbor or best friend have that I could replicate?
No, you'd be like, Ooh, I want this and I want this and I want this, you know, and a lot of us manifest from that queen of swords perspective, but I want you to manifest from the queen of wands as if you had a magic wand. And this, this. [00:18:00] Process where we're engaging and manifesting from like a queen of swords perspective.
Okay. We're often just seeking relief. Like we're not thinking big enough. We're not thinking like, what would my magic wand do? We're thinking like, Oh God, what is just going to like, help me pay my bills or what is going to make me feel less lonely. And it's like little micro steps or just like even lateral movements.
It doesn't represent like a big shift. And we end up, you know, we end up with things, we manifest things and. Because we're just replicating what we think, you know, what we see in front of us that we think will make us happy. We end up with like a lot of stuff, a lot of stuff and often physical stuff around us that just keeps us feeling empty.
And, um, it's, that's not where the magic is, right? Like I know I keep saying it's not where the magic is, but I want you to really understand that if you have things in your life where you're like, I have a job, I have a house, I have this, why do I feel so blue? [00:19:00] About things, it's likely because you're manifesting from that space of safety.
What is safe enough? What am I worthy enough to ask for? That's a whole other layer to like the queen of swords. Sometimes yes, is logic like two plus two equals four. There we go. That's what I'm manifesting this and this and I'll get this, but there are these other elements, like I said, like. limiting beliefs about like, what do I deserve?
What am I worthy of? What does it mean to want this thing that maybe I'm not supposed to want? Like who says you're supposed to want whatever, but we pick up all this gunk in our life. And I want you to stop setting these logical goals. And I want you to really Take the blinders off open your mind and like just for a minute give yourself a magic wand or at least feel like feel what it would be like to have that magic wand and This is where I want to talk about the manifesting misalignment and the magic manifesting check in that I want you to do and These prompts this [00:20:00] process went out in my email last week So if you're on the email list, you'll recognize these and you'd be like, amazing.
And if you're not on the email list, get on the email list. Because every week on Friday I put in either an intuitive reading for you to select, you know, pick a pile and listen to, or there are journal prompts or there's like a therapeutic exercise in there. Again, there are resources and tools and solutions and thoughts and things for you to put in your own toolbox.
Because I want you to be building your bag of tricks or your library of like things to sort of like, I'm going to tap into this and I'm going to bring this and I'm going to bring the best of these two things together to find a solution for me. A couple of weeks ago, I did an intuitive journaling process that sort of came to me during meditation.
I had already. done the tarot reading where I was sort of like getting, you know, a little friendly bitch slap from the universe being like, Hmm, let's talk about it. And then I had already got the channeled message, but then I was sitting in meditation and all these like [00:21:00] journal prompts started coming to me.
So I started writing them down because I knew like the way it was flooding in. I was like, this is important. And, um, I then made the time to sit down and actually do the thing. And I want you to do that, right? I want you to take the time to do the thing because Again, a way we stay small and stay safe and stay in our queen of swords energy is by like collecting facts and collecting knowledge and collecting information, but not doing the thing.
The queen of wands is the one who's then is like, boom, I'm going to start making stuff. And I went through this process. It took maybe like 45 minutes because I gave it a lot of time. You know, you can split it up over a couple of days too. You could do like. Look at one thing that you want to manifest and then look at another, like do it over the course of a week, make it work for you.
Nothing is ever like, you have to do it this way. Something I always say is like, take the best and leave the rest. So take the best out of this and adjust it and make it work with your life and your process. So [00:22:00] this, um, Journal process. Sorry, this journal prompt that I went through. It's not even just a prompt.
It was like a phase. It was like four phases to it, but it really helped me uncover what I believed was possible for me and how what I was manifesting was like this tiny, tiny version of what I actually wanted and how some of the things I was manifesting weren't even Remotely related to what I wanted.
And I went through this process. And I, the first thing you do is you look at like, what do you believe is impossible because in order to like determine what you think is possible for you, you need to determine like what is impossible for you. And I realized that like what I thought was impossible for me to manifest.
Was exactly what I actually wanted and you know, it is so easy for us to push off our true desires and like just swipe them off the table because we just say, not for me, that's for them, not for me. And we learn this through childhood. We learn this [00:23:00] through like our parents, society, school, negative experiences that we have, our shadow, all of this stuff comes together and causes us to sort of like shelf these ideas of things that we're manifesting.
And, you know, if we're manifesting from a place of. Wanting to stay small or, you know, not wanting to change or not wanting to stand out. We, like I said, we're going to burn energy. We're going to get on a hamster wheel that is just going to have us like going, going, going, and feeling like garbage. And the crappy thing is like, if we lack self awareness and we don't take time to step back and be like, Let's look at what's actually happening and let's make some changes.
You will just repeat this cycle of spiraling endlessly until you burn out. And I want nothing more than for like everybody to break free from this constant loop, this constant cycle of like hustling for crap that isn't actually important to them. And the first step with this is getting so honest [00:24:00] with yourself, raw honesty.
You have to acknowledge. that there are things that you think are out of reach for you. And this is going to take vulnerability. It's going to take self love and compassion. Okay. You might even experience grief because when I went through this and everything was laid out on my page and I was like, these are the things I think are impossible.
I was like, I became very emotional because I was like, well, why do I want those things? Or those are amazing things. Why do I think I can't have them? But that process of like, Stripping it away and just putting it out on the table and seeing what it is, it allows you to see the truth. And it's that, like, I can't unsee that.
Once you see that, you're not going to be able to unsee it. And everything is going to shift because it has to shift. It's like turning on a light in a dark room. You're like, Oh, that's what's in here. You can never go back to what you thought was there because you see what is in front of you. And [00:25:00] when I went through this process, When I was journaling and I, like I said, took 45 minutes, I popped out and I was like, like popped out of the meditation.
And I was like, if everybody just watched a little less TV and spent like a little bit of time doing things like this every week, we'd be in a much better place. And so this is my invitation to you right now is to take a minute to unplug Sit with yourself, listen deeply, and really make space for those desires that you've been hiding.
And these reflection prompts are going to help you get into realignment, which is the first point. It's the first stepping stone on that path to real transformation. Okay. So phase one is called identify the impossible. And this is where we write freely without judgment. I want you to include anything that comes to mind.
It doesn't matter how far it is. And I want you to answer two questions. The first one is, what do I think I will never achieve in my life? Anything. It could be [00:26:00] like, I'll never own my own jet. I'll never have a book deal. I'll never, whatever, you know, just, I'm not going to say any more things because I don't want to put, um, like parameters in your head or a filter.
I want you to just write, what do you think you will never achieve? And what do you think is like so big and so grand that it's completely impossible for you to have? In this life, like go really big where you're like, that was way too big. I'm never ever going to achieve that. After you've done that, the next step is to review your manifestations.
Okay. So we've got this one page where we're like, this is the impossible world. And now over here on this page, we're going to answer two different questions. What am I currently manifesting in my life? And I want you to list out everything that you're actively working on, whether you're like taking steps in the 3D to achieve it, or whether you're just like meditating on it, or whether you're daydreaming, or like putting it on your vision board.
What are you actively manifesting in your life? And I want you to write a little bit [00:27:00] about how you think it's going. Okay. So you're going to have these two pages. You're going to have what's not possible, what you're currently manifesting and how you're kind of feeling. And this is where in the third phase, we're going to look for gaps and we're gonna look for alignment.
We're going to see if there's any bridges. We're going to see if there's any through lines, if things are like totally off course, like are they, what's the gap? How different are these two lists? And we're going to reflect on them, reflect on both of them. Like I said, look for through lines, portals, whatever gaps, whatever you want to call it.
Okay. And ask yourself, comparing these two lists, are there any themes or patterns? Once you've got through that, I want you to ask, how is what you are manifesting related or unrelated to what you feel is impossible? And I'll give you an example. I looked at one thing that I was like, this is never possible for me to have.
And then I looked at something I was manifesting and it was like such a dialed down, tiny version of this big thing that I really wanted. [00:28:00] And then I saw something that was like, I don't think this is possible. And it wasn't even on my manifesting list. And I was like, well, why is it not even. Like, it's not even taking a seat at the table.
This is important. This is the most important part is to look for those themes, see how things are related. And you're kind of trying to see like what your little human brain is trying to do with your manifestations, whether it's trying to protect you from failure, whether it's trying to give you like a smaller version of like good enough, you know, because it doesn't want you to be disappointed.
Or if it's like completely trying to just. Keep you like not even aware of something. And now the fourth phase is where we really get to connect with that raw intention and put words to it. And take a completely new page and take a minute to like envision your ideal life without limitations. Like if I showed up at your house, I was like, here's your magic wand.
You've got 10 wishes. Go. I [00:29:00] want you to consider what feels impossible. What you have been manifesting where things feel disconnected, misaligned, out of flow. And I want you to just think without limits or expectation, like if you could have it all, what would that look like and ask yourself, what do I truly want for my life?
What feels exciting, fulfilling and aligned? How does it feel to affirm these new desires and what is the first step you can take towards manifesting them? And that is the process. That is the process right there. That's all I want you to do. And you may find, like I said, this might be an emotional experience for you to go through.
Right to be looking at like, there's something really humbling about connecting with what you really want and act just like shining a light on your limiting beliefs and shining a light on how [00:30:00] you keep yourself stuck and how you shrink yourself down and how you don't allow yourself to step into a powerful existence.
It can be very, like I said, emotional. You might grieve Some stuff because I know I went through a little period of grief where I felt like really sad and I was grieving this like I was grieving this identity that like never had taken place or was not even allowed to sit at the table and be considered but there was also this grief of like knowing that like where I currently was was going to shift and so.
Yes, do this in a whole day or spread it out over a week. Do whatever you need to do for it to work for you and to give yourself that so necessary integration time. Like this isn't something you just like, you know, blurt it out and you're like, cool, done. Like you have to really give it the energy and the heart space and the head space and the energetic space that it deserves.
[00:31:00] But my hope is that when you've done this, Not only will you be back in touch with the things that you're aligned with, but you'll start to see a path that's going to move you forward.
